16th May 14th Grade CSFC 2 Avon 1
When Avon turn up i throught that we where playing 15th or 16th grade team they had some very big boys in there team. Right from the start again i knew it was going to be a very good game with both teams having chances.With 20mins into the game i could see that they where very big but they had no one that could finish ,and i think that was the differance between to two teams.With the skill and speed that Josh has is wasnt long before we where 1 nil up with a great run and finish from him and went into the half 1 nil up .In this game all my backs Samantha,
Joachim,Liam R and Connor did there part for the win .One thing that we work hard at training is our corners as Jesse is very good at them,we bring Connor my centre back into the corner for his height.Well again Jesse put the ball on the spot and that was Connors head and they ball was in the back net to give as a very well played 2-1 win .With the team getting better each week but i know there is a lot of room for improvment and having scored 23 goals and only had 3 against its nice to have 4 win out of 4 game .

9th May 14 Grade CSFC 8-Hornby 0
Going into this game i knew that we would win this game as Hornby have had 34 goals scored against them.I was hoping that we wouldnt play to there level as sometimes that does happen.
Thet where trying to play the off side trape so every time we made a brake they would bolw off side even if we were not. I think when you play these games you try to hard but by half time we where up 3-0 wtih goals to Josh (2) and Joel.I was hoping for a much improved second half and i did as the team started to move the ball around and Hornby had no answer to us .With Reuben not in goal this week he play striker and was rewarded with his frist hat trick(well done)and Liam C also scored so it was great that my three strikers scored.Shakeal got the last goal .We had 21 shoots on goal and if it wasnt for there keeper who was there best player and was this frist game for them the score should of been more, but again very happy win the win

With our frist game out of the way i was looking forward to game two .I knew that St Bedes A would be a good team and was looking forward to the game,as training went well it was good to see the team do what we train on Thursday to the game.The frist half was very even and they where very unlucky not to score when Liam my right back got in the way of my keeper and headed the ball for a corner,even through Reuben call for the ball(not happy with Liam).To make things worse they scored form the corner, the game was still very even till about 5mins to go when William made a good run down this wing cross the ball then follow it up to make it 1 all at half time.With having two keeper this year and Reuben being my No 1 keeper i made the call to put Patrick in which i wasnt sure about,but he had a very good half in goal and i think made some match winning saves.Which got him player of the day.One player in the team Jesse is a very good corner taker and 9.5 times out of 10 he will put the ball in the middle of the box. I said to one of the dads if he does that we will score and he did and yes Josh socred to make it 2-1.We started to get control of the game and so did Josh who made one of his trade make brakes and put as up 3-1.Shakeal had a soild game in the mid-field and was rewarded with a goal .They got one back but was very happy with the hold teams effect

Sunday 26th 14th Div3 Coastal spirit 9-Cashmere 0.
With the season finally under way it was good to start the season with a win. The team had been training for 7 week with 5 sunday of hard bench training and 6 game which i think in our frist game we had all the controll .Cashmere had some good players in there team but the ball skills and knowing what each other was doing in the team was why they had all the controll of the game.I cant single out one player tha t play better as it was a team effect.My two strickers did there jobs with Josh starting where he finish last year with 4 very good goals, and Laim C getting 2.With having to goal keepers this year it was hard to see who was going to be No1 as both only touch the ball twice each ,which means all my backs did there job as well.The score could have been a lot higher but i counted 12 shots on goal that went to the keeper.When you play a team that is not as good and you have all the ball as a coach its nice to watch the team do all that you have done at training and score very very goood goals well done team.
